Does the free version allow mobile content plug in?

I am considering Mobile Joomla; I would like to know if the free version allows the mobile content plug in which enables content to be rendered based on device; ie {mobile}... {desktop} etc... OR do I need the premium version?
I am try to apply this to one article to enable showing 2 different images, one for mobile, one for desktop.
I thinking this feature may help me do this.
