1. We are using videos extensively on our website.
For most of our text content we have a text to
video version of that text. How would your system
deal with the video?

2. We are considering using goMobi. Would it be better
to use goMobi and then use your system to optimize
the goMobi Website?

1. What kind of embedded videos do you use? For YouTube videos we have a plugin that replaces video by thumbnail.

2. goMobi is a 3rdparty tool that tries to extract content from desktop pages, and unlikely it's possible to use MobileJoomla AFTER goMobi.

Does this mean that the video on our site will not play?
If the video is a thumbnail can't we create another
video in a format friendly to mobile sites?

It depends. Mostly main content on the site is text, and in this case video could be replaced by thumbnail to reduce time to load page. If videos are the main part of website's content, seems the best solution is lazy loading (e.g. with the aid of jQuery and github.com/ressio/lazy-load-xt). As to video format, most of video hostings (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) do it automatically. And if you host videos on your own server, you can use www.mobilejoomla.com/extension/advanced/mobile-content.html plugin to display different videos on mobile and desktop versions of your website.

I am ready to buy but I am confused. It seem that Mobile Joomla is a
prerequisite... but what is Mobile Joomla and where can it be found?

Also after one gets Mobile Joomla what is the advantage of buying
Flat Mobile.
