Upload the Mobile-Joomla.1.0.3.1.tar.gz file?

Hi

This is my second attempt on Mobile Joomla. The first was in January but due to lack of support I kind of gave up. Now I would like to try again. The first hurdle is "which file to upload"? I am used to upload zip files but this is a tar.gz file. Please explain. I tried to upload it but had lots of errors:

try updating the joomla version, if it's less that 1.5.26 it gives that error.
