It seems I need to change group ownership and write permissions of the Joomla folders to install an update for mobile Joomla as per the instructions at ...

1. Are there any security implication with doing this?
2. I cant seem to change the group ownership of folders through cpanel, is this necessary or can i just change each folder to g+w?
