Menu not changing with page--SOLVED

My navigation items "About" and "Grants" are not working correctly- when they are clicked on, the subnavigation doesn't show up above the content, just the same top level items. It should be like the "Scholarships" menu item- the top level items are replaced by the submenu under that page.

Also, the "Grants" page is showing up as the whole standard site within the content area.

I figured it out- It turns out that both of these issues were from the same problem.

I'm using a separate menu as my mobile menu. Apparently if your menu item's alias is the same as another item on a different menu, the whole thing gets confused. Changing the alias on a few menu items fixed both problems.

Possibility to create items with identical alias is known issue of Joomla!1.5 (in Joomla!1.6+ it's impossible).

If you like to create separate mobile menu, use menu items of "Alias" type.

Thanks. The pages aren't the same, so I just changed the menu item alias to something different.
