Most likely it's "Incorrect usage of Mobile Joomla" that was described in FAQ.

SOLVED - Ok, after working with RSFirewall, I discovered that if you simply have RSFirewall correct "security issues" with joomla tmp, and logs directories (which by default) sit inside the public_html directory, you have to make absolutely sure that the joomla global config lists the correct directories where they will now be. This can easily be overlooked if you are parking your working site at a different URL while building a site and then transferring it to the new domain or if moving it from one hosting facility to another.

Second, you have to make sure that the directories you create outside of the public_html directory are write access 0755, as by default control panel will likely not do this. It's a noob mistake, but many of us are psudo noobs and there is a lot to remember when moving sites around.

Lastly, another RSFirewall security trick is to enable baseopen_dir which will generally just allow write access to the new tmp and logs directories. If you change the logs after you create this security trick, it won't allow them to access it.

Each of the above issues need to be resolved and it appeared at least for me that any of them not being resolved will give this issue in installing Mobile Joomla. Sometimes smaller modules will still install but large ones like this, as well as major templates and other large extensions will give the error.

Mobile Joomla and my other problems are now fixed and everything installed properly. Hoping this will help some others who might have encountered the same issue.

That said, I wish there were some more detailed instructions in getting things up and running with mobile joomla. It works out of the box, but if you have lots of flash and are running a sophisticated template with lots of scripts, mootools, lightbox, etc., it can be difficult to know where to start in getting the result to look clean.

Although much of my site prior to mobile joomla didn't work properly outside of an ipod and ipad due to the things that are running on it, the mobile version out of the box needs a lot of work, and it's hard to navigate through what I need to do to clean it up. Mobile Joomla is a very complex program, but without aIdequate documentation it's hard to figure out what strings need to be pulled in which directions to get everything to clean up.

Basically, there is a generic settings tutorial on your site that seems to mostly reiterate the same thing that is in the settings. And then I saw a relatively good video tutorial that was given, but that worked only for generic and basic blog site and only really for the iphone (which frankly needs the least to get most sites looking good).

My site is now working on mobile joomla at www.ahgoobaby.com and I would love to get anyone's input on what tweaks I could do to smartphone, wap and iphone to help it look a little better.
