How do you differentiate iPad from iPhone so iPad gets fullsite

I have a site that is showing the mobile version on the iPad. I tried setting the iMode template to the site general template. Is there a way in the PHP code to get MJ! to differentiate between the two devices?

I am a fairly strong PHP programmer but I was wondering if there was a best place/practice as to how to execute this?

Use "iPad support" parameter in MJ settings (Yes - mobile version will be shown, No - desktop one).
