What is TeraWURFL

Title

Tera-WURFL is a PHP & MySQL based library that uses the Wireless Universal Resource File (WURFL) , but does not say MySQli??

My install say this is disable as needs mysqli, ??

Do I need it? And How can set my db to run on mysqli, will this not effect the joomla install?

TeraWURFL has "connectors" to a lot of databases (MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, etc.), that's why there is no info specific to MySQL. But PHP has two libraries to connect to MySQL database: "old" mysql and "new" mysqli (comes with PHP5). TeraWURFL uses latter, and there is no way to switch to mysql lib.
