strange image display problem

Hi,

Can anyone plz can tell how images display work?
I work with a subdomain. After install it works quite fine (menu, content etc), but with displaying images I am facing a strange problem:

- new images won't display but existing images on the server display without any problem

First I thought that the new images weren't resized properly, but the new images are resized and moved to the resize folder in images. Delete cache on server and cache in mobile phones.
Then delete all images in article, images on server /resizefolder and try it again. Still the same problem:
new images not displayed.

Has anyone a solution? I am testing with Iphone and Nokia 96 and mobile joomla 0.96

Hi,
Just to see if I understand the problem. You are using a subdomain so I'm assuming your main site is
www.joomlasite.com
and your test site is
www.joomlasite.com/testsite

If this is the case then you are describing a bug which I logged
www.mobilejoomla.com/forum/topic.html?id=382
MJ resizes the image and puts it in the correct folder but when it comes to display it, MJ looks in the image folders of the main site and doesn't find it.
A workaround is to manually copy the resize folders and contents to the main site. This is assuming you are still in the "what does it look like" stage of testing and don't have lots of pictures.

Don't be put off MJ because of this. It's a fantastic product and I'm sure this glitch will be sorted out.

Thx Barnabas for the answer.

Exact the situation you have described with subdomain. This work-around is OK!
It's working

Same for me. Is works fine now.

I use some photo's and sometimes I noticed that not all images are resized with one directory. May be it is has to do as well with the my server ( response settings).
Thats why I put ( when I have more images) the images in a sub directory. This works all the time.
