default category not working

First of all mobilejoomla has been great to use and dead simple to use with virtuamart, good work guys.

I have a virtuamart shop with one category so when I load it up in mobilejoomla I get "Home" and "Auction" which is the category all my items reside in.

If I change the default category within mobilejoomla or set the default menu within Joomla's menu manager after tapping "Auction" it just reloads the current page (Which I think is home). As soon as I restore the setting back tapping the Auction category loads fine.

This only happens using mobilejoomla and making the change in menu manager and trying it from a PC shows it loading the category by default as expected.

Using an iPhone 3GS with latest iOS.

Anyone know what might be causing the issue? I can work around the issue but I'd like to be able to streamline the mobile site as much as possible.

Tried to work around it by using a htaccess file but I think Joomla causes that to result in a redirect loop.
