TOPIC: Latest article linking to alias menu

Latest article linking to alias menu 13 years ago #6168

Firstly i would like to thank the developer for their wonderful creation.

My problem is:
I created a different menu for the mobile and put _mob as alias. I have used 6 different templates for separate pages. but when I click on the latest item on link it will show the alias link of the menu.

charm3.fakharkhalid.com/en/

when clicked on a latest news it should go to en/comm/... link but showing en/Comm_mob/...

any solutions

Yes, it's possible, because of joomla cannot distinguish between these menu items. So, currently there is no way to force joomla to use one alias on desktop and other on mobile version. In this case I'd recommend you to remove mobile menu and display the same menu on desktop and mobile, but just hide some items on mobile (it's possible to set ids of hidden items in settings of mod_mj_menu module).

I solved using the following method
I created separate menu, put separate alias.
I used menu type as text menu alias and pointed to the corresponding menu for sub menu.
for the parent menu i used category blog.
now it's working but with the problem of htaccess whle viewing form mobile. hope i will also solve that

cheers mate
