Hi, my home page is fine. However when i assign a module to any other page on mobile version, its dosnt show. Modules on the mobile version only seem to show when i select 'all pages' rather than an individual page. I cant work out whats wrong ??
infact, i noticed that modules (in the iphone version) only show up on the homepage full stop..even if i select or assign it to all menus. What am i doing wrong here, how do i get modules to show on other pages besides the home page.?
Can you describe what is being done? Names of modules and how they are being assigned? If you could give an example of one that is not showing. I'll look tomorrow and see if I can help.
Thanks.
Thanks.
ok on the homepage of my site forthelove.pnworldwide.net, in the mj_iphone_middle position i have a module called mod_raxo_allmode (which displays categories nicely or joomla). I duplicated it and changed params so it would show a different category each time depending on which menu you choose. When i duplicate the module and put it in mj_iphone_middle put assigned to another menu, it dosnt show. My menus are displayed at the bottom of the site page.
THanks

A few words of introduction for other people reading this post. Gavner asked for help with forthelove.pnworldwide.net which is an Online creative magazine covering Illustration, Design and photography. So it is suited to Joomla's concept of sections and categories to display events, reviews, publications and so on. Each of these short articles has a photograph and text and a read more.
The site uses an amazing Joomla extension called RAXO All-mode PRO raxo.org/ which is a module. Assume the site has 4 pages so you set up a menu which has Home, Illustration, Design, Photography. The trick is to make each of these menu entries "Front Page Blog Layout". None of your articles are flagged for the front page, so normally you would see Joomla present an empty front page BUT mod_raxo_allmode dynamically makes articles available for the template. HOWEVER only the Home page is the real front page as identified by Mobile Joomla, the other 3 are merely using the blog layout.
You then copy the mod_raxo_allmode 4 times. For the desk top browser, assuming you position them all in the banner area, for the Home page you set the module to select the latest 5 articles regardless of category/section. For the Illustration, just the articles in that category/section and you make that module only work on the Illustration entry of the menu. Similarly for the other two pages.
The problem that was posted was that this was not happening on the Moble Joomla template.
The solution was as follows (for the iphone template)
The principle we were following was right, that is to have multiple copies of mod_raxo_allmode for each of the category/section combinations. BUT they have to be put in position mj_iphone_middle2. By default this does not show as an option when you use the pulldown menu in Module edit. You have to add a 2 to the end of mj_iphone_middle and save it. Next time you will see it in the drop down. (Don't know why.) This will allow the module mod_raxo_allmode to work and show up on the page. (There is code hedged about the position mj_iphone_middle which means it doesn't work anywhere except the home page, feature or bug I'm not sure)
PS This is 0.9.8
