How to set option for mobile joomla

I have gone through the tutorials but did not understand,can u please tel me if i dont setup options like iphone to yes still my website will show mobile version of website on mobile phones

Actually i installed MObile joomla it is not showing mobile version of my website, i gone though all tutorials.

i am using joomla 1.5X
