Can you please try ?device=iphone convention?

when we updated to the newest version today, it fixed the problem. however there is another problem.

when you click on the standard version link it takes you to desktop version with ?device=desktop in URL. if i click any link on my site at that point it takes me back to the mobile version.

why is this happening? how to fix?

This case is specific to desktop browsers for your testing, and your users (visiting from mobile) is already redirected correctly; so they do not need to type anything extra in. Once you use ?device=iphone convention, it should work on all pages, until you clear your cache. Make sure your browser can save cookies etc..

Clearing cookies worked for me (in FF)... but the cookie problem seems to resurface after several visits... Is this FF version issue?

Ah Hah... this should be in the FAQ and Documentation for Testing... a massive time waster, then really needs to be rectified on the site!!!!

IF you want to see your site on the ... | type this into your address bar

  • iPhone | yourdomain.com/?device=iphone
  • Android or other SmartPhone | yourdomain.com/?device=xhtml
  • Desktop | yourdomain.com/?device=desktop <--IMPORTANT, Now, set it back to desktop
