Upgrade Error

I clicked on the Joomla! Control Panel Extension Update button and got this error:



I then clicked on the Update link on the Mobile Joomla! Setup page and got this error:



I then did a manual update by downloading the extension update from the MJ site and installed using the Joomla! Extension Manager. This worked successfully.

Any ideas why I got the errors?
