In my case it was Opera.
Having done the rename-rezip bit no errors in Joomla either.

I use Opera 11, but I'm pretty sure I tried on Firefox 5 Mac as well...

Nevermind, having issues again.
Downloaded on Opera, the file is called Mobile-Joomla.0.9.12.tar.zip
Downloaded on Firefox, the file is called Mobile-Joomla.0.9.12.tar.gz
I installed successfully one one of my sites using the method above. Now when I try setting that up on another site, it won't work and I get errors again. Not sure what the issue is. Downloaded off both Opera and Firefox. Tried to install on both browsers, and still no luck.

Got it working, it just doesn't like being re-installed under a subdomain.

hi,
Also downloaded latest version and keep getting corrupt file. I have tried all browsers, Firefox, Chrome and IE7-8-9
I try to extract the file locally and get the corrupt file error.
