Install Error

Whenever I try to install I just get this error:

* JFolder::create: Could not create directory
* Warning! Failed to move file.

Those people had similar problems but none of the threads gave any solutions.

You did not mention what kind of environment you are trying to use for the installation, so it is much guesswork what help we can offer. In any case the error message is pretty clear that folder creation fails. Check at least tmp-folder UNIX permissions or other folders where Joomla might write

I too am seeing the following error when attempting install:
* JFolder::create: Infinite loop detected
* JFTP::write: Bad response

I manually created the /plugins/mobile directory and set permissions to 0755

I have attempted install all 3 ways and receive the same error.
mysql 5.0
php 5.2

Suggestions are appreciated.

Do you have any similar errors installing other components, modules, plugins, templates, and languages?

PS. I could try to solve the problem, but in this case you should give me ftp-access to the site and create joomla user with administrator rights.

I re-downloaded the package, extracted, uploaded and tried "Install from Directory" and it installed fine.

As a side note, we have have not had issues installing other components or plugins.

I have similar problem installing the component, and I would apreciate any help.

I am novice in the Joomla, and was hopping to get a little more detailed instructions on how to overcome the problem installing.
