White screen mobile IE8

Hi,

I've downloaded and installed MobileJoomla today and it works great on iPhone 4 and Blackberry. Good work!!!

But one user reports a error that he get a blank (white) screen by using his HTC with Windows Professional 6.5 and IE8.

I've also tried the online demo of Opera mini. Is it correct that the site looks like a WAP page on Opera mini???

Has sombody a solution or a hint for this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

We have bad access to Windows Mobile devices. Can you confirm that your problematic user is using the site correctly and is connected to the network properly?

In most cases blank screen is the consequence of php fatal error. Check error_log for info on them.

Sorry for the late response. Yes the user is definitely using the site correctly and is connected to the network.

The error logs that you get from your hosting company for your site.
Also it may be that the following will help with this problem?
IE8 PROBLEM with a CMS site not displaying in IE8?
Ensure that the doctype tag is absolutely the first thing displaying for the browser to see. Comments or whitespace will mess it up. A further fix is to make IE8 emulate IE7 with this meta tag:
meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE7"/
