I've installed Mobile Joomla successfully, but it defaults to the mobile version whether I am viewing it from my laptop or a mobile device. I'm currently using the free version with a view to upgrading to Pro if it works and am using Joomla 1.5. I've looked at the tutorials and watched the video and my version of Mobile Joomla looks different to that featured in these. There is no plugin called mobile always. I do have mobile forever which seems to have similar functionality, but it makes no difference whether it is enabled or disabled I still get the mobile version of the site instead of the main site.
Can you please tell me how I can stop this happening as I currently have mobile joomla disabled to prevent it?
Thanks

Chalasa, what browser do you use on laptop? Could you visit mobilejoomla.com/uatest.php and post results here?

Hi, I've just tried again. I use Firefox 15.0 and it seems to be that if I visit www.mydomain.com/?device=iphone and then visit the main domain again it shows the iphone one as default. If I clear cache and cookies it will show the main desktop site. As simple as that - I should have tried it earlier.

Try and make the 1st Mark up available on Mobile I.e (Mj_AllFooter) at m.urdomain.com or any you're using...
And the second Mark-Up available on the Desktop view. I.e (Footer or any position u prefer) at www.urdomain.com...
Don't think of coding a (<a) direct linking to yourdomain.com?device=anything.
Otherwise, you'll keep been disturbed by Cache/Cookie issue.
The best and easiest option is the 2 Mark UP modules available in your module list.
Just set them appropriately as above and your visitor won't need to clear cookie before been returned to normal PC view.
