Make sure you select disabled for both the ads and the copyright.
And make sure the plugin is enabled (note that Joomla installs all plugins in disabled state).
If we are still talking about the "Ad Remove" plugin "There are no parameters", meaning there are no options (no do not show this or that or anything else). I can simply enable or disable the plugin and for the record it was enabled by default when I installed it.
earthrat, what Joomla version do you use? And what is version of Ad Remove plugin?
In my haste I thought this plugin was installed with the component. Looking again I see that I had the RC version installed and after updating to the new version I now see the parameters. Cannot believe that did not cross my mind to check. Thanks for waking me up...

Use the footer icon in the joomla site and add it accordingly.
Plugin updating could help here.
