Thank you.

Hi Svm,
Yes, but it's not quick. You will two home pages; one for the main site and one for mobile browsers.
You need to set up another menu, for example mobilemenu which has the new home page as its first entry and for the rest of the entries you set them up the same as the other entries in the original menu.
Have a look at www.mobilejoomla.com/documentation/12-ge...ng-mobile-menus.html to see how to make these menus work with Joomla. If that doesn't help then there is more detailed explanation at
www.mobilejoomla.com/forum/3-general/428-how-to-override-main-site-menu-with-mobile-site-menu.html
Let me know if you need more assistance.

thank you for you post but....
www.sv-yellow-press.de/ is my normal website with 5 actual Articles on the startpage
When you go with an Iphone at www.sv-yellow-press.de/ you should only look at the second actual articels.

Is this possible? Sorry but I don't understand why I solve this problems with a new menu with specific content.

I was assuming that the startpage used the Front Page Blog Layout and that for the normal website it had Leading set to 5 articles. It is not possible to change the number of Leading articles dynamically without using an extension such as mod_dn or mod_raxo_allmode. I assumed that you did not want to use them. So I suggested that you have two start pages; one set to 5 Leading articles and one set to 2 Leading articles. Does that help?

thank you again.
My problem is, that the mobile startpage is unclear. The user have to often to scroll down.

But how can I create two start pages?
So the user would linked to the start page with only two articles

It would be perfekt, perhaps in a new update, when i could chose in the extension menu, how many articels are show on the mobile webside.

I agree that the mobile startpage is unclear. Mobile Joomla (MJ) does not control the number of articles on a page.

MJ works with Joomla to present the website. It only does those things which allow the browser of a mobile phone to view the site. Among these are choosing the correct XHTML commands and resizing pictures, in other words it is about the technical code rather than the content or number of items. MJ relies on the existing Joomla controls for this.

Joomla allows you to have more than one menu for a site. The startpage is the first item in a menu and gets a unique itemid. You can choose any "menu item type" for this. Most sites have a Front Page Blog Layout and the number of leading articles is fixed here. (I mentioned some Joomla extensions earlier, to use these you set the number of articles at 0 and use the extension to choose articles and populate the page).

So, to return to the two start pages. One of them would be in one menu - for the normal site. The other would be in the menu for the mobile site. MJ uses a module to decide which menu it will show. If you set it to use the mobile site menu, then it will use the startpage with 2 articles. Does that help?
