Not working in Joomla 1.7 with sh404sef 13 years, 3 months ago #5109

I have mobile joomla installed on two sites. One uses Joomla 1.5 and Artio SEF - works fine there. The newer site is on joomla 1.7 and uses sh404sef. On this site, on my ipod, I was getting the mainmenu links but they all linked to the same page. Now I seem to be stuck on one category blog page and can't get to the mainmenu at all.

Which sh404sef release is used?
Do you have $live_site parameter in your configuration.php?
What are the orders of MobileJoomla's and sh404sef's system plugins?

Hi,

I have sh404SEF version 3.2.0.1108

Mobile Joomla plugin is number -99 (minus 99) and sh404SEF is number 10

I don't know the answer to the third question: "Do you have $live_site parameter in your configuration.php?"

I have the following settings in the "by component" section of sh404SEF configuration for mobilejoomla:

1. use default handler
2. translate URL
3. Insert language code in URL
4. Use sh404SEF plugin if available
5. Disable shURL

It's in Components-->sh404sef-->Control panel-->Configuration-->SEO configuration-->Mobile Configuration

The next choice is: Switch to Template -----

Should I set the first choice to YES and, if so, what should I put for the name of the template?

This setting should be set to NO. Just it's the first place to check in the case of conflict with MobileJoomla.

Thanks, but mobile joomla works well enough with my other sites. The only other differences are that they use a different SEF component and are on Joomla 1.5. See www.leadersdirect.com for example where it is working fine. I am using the same templates - yootheme Flux on both sites, one is a 1.5 template, the other a 1.7 version.

Actually there are other differences. The menus are set up differently. On www.lead2xl.com menu items go to blog categories and there are no submenus, while on www.leadersdirect.com there are submenus and each of them goes to a single article. Clicking on the main menu names on a webrowser brings up a list of articles rather than a blog category. Not sure if this is a factor or not.
