The validator issue persisted before, but I didn't care yet. After upgrading Joomla 2.5.8 > 2.5.9, Kunena 2.0.3 > 2.0.4, Mobile 1.2.2 > 1.2.3 the Forum feed stopped to work, so I was forced to take care of this.

As soon as I activate ScientiaMobile plugin,

1) a Smartphone version is sent, eg.:
validator.w3.org changes address field from "starthilfeberlin.de/" to "m.starthilfeberlin.de/",
auto-detects Doctype: XHTML Mobile Profile 1.1,
and finds "itemprop" attributes which are supposed to be removed ...

2) my Kunena feed breaks:
feedvalidator.org receives a mobile document
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//WAPFORUM//DTD XHTML Mobile 1.1//EN" "www.openmobilealliance.org/tech/DTD/xhtml-mobile11.dtd">
mybrandedfeedburner.com URL fails ...

Setting MJ Simple and AMDD plugins to active and de-activate ScientiaMobile gives the correct HTML5 document to validator, feedvalidator receives a "looks like this is a web page, not a feed", but for feedburner it seems to be valid. Probably a conflict in Kunena? I wonder how You've dealed with your www.mobilejoomla.com/forum/rss.feed ??

It seems that ordering of plugins is the factor? Mobile Bot to the beginning or the end of 'system'? Are 'mobile' plugins loaded after 'kunena' (in alphabetical order)? What is the right way to sort them??

ScientiaMobile is 3rdparty database, unlikely we can do something here except of send bugreport to them.
I would recommend you to use Mobile-AMDD plugin instead. This plugin is developed by our team and we can fix it easily (and as far as I remember, it works well with W3C Validator and FeedBurner).

Thanks for answering! Thought so ...

While using Mobile-AMDD, should the Simple plugin be active (in addition), or de-activated?

Now, should I clean up MySQL database - remove TeraWurfl records and procedures?

Sorting plugins: Mobile Bot to the beginning or the end of 'system'? Are 'mobile' plugins loaded after 'kunena' (in alphabetical order, unavoidable)? What is the right way to sort them?

What about your www.mobilejoomla.com/forum/rss.feed - are You using ScientiaMobile or AMDD?

Thanks again for Your time and effort!

Mobile-Simple is the last "mobile" plugin that checks that device type is detected. If it doesn't, the plugin runs some heuristics to detect type. It allows to don't break mobile version in the case of corrupted AMDD or ScientiaMobile databases.

TeraWURFL records: as you like, you can just uninstall Mobile-ScientiaMobile plugin, in Joomla!1.6+ it removes all db records automatically.

It's recommended to set MobileBot plugin to be the first one (the only exception is some SEF-plugins that can conflict with MobileJoomla).

mobilejoomla.com uses our remote database (access to it is included in MJ Pro)
