The history of Mobile Kunena dates back to 2009 when Kunena 1.5 was released. We tried to develop a mobile-compatible template for Kunena 1.5, but found it is impossible because of a lot of hardcoded pieces of html codes in the component. As a result, we have developed a plugin (Mobile Kunena) that generates html output that looks good on mobile phones. Since then template system in Kunena has been gradually improved, and starting from Kunena 4 there are a lot of responsive templates that look pretty good on mobiles (e.g.
www.roundtheme.com/kunena-templates).
So, Mobile Kunena supports Kunena 1.5 to 3.0, we still support it (i.e. if someone finds a bug, it will be fixed), but one may consider it as a "dead product".
