I cannot get the Smart Slider to work either in an existing module position or in an article using the {load position} plugin. Strangely, before installing the Smart Slider I used the DJ Image Slider, which worked fine, even though both are based on JQuery. (The Smart Slider is touch screen-enabled.) In both instances, the page simply refuses to load on the Mobile Elegance template.

Do you have any idea what the problem might be?

JS code from one of extensions on your website (it's hard to detect what exactly) calls window.addEvent method from mootools library, but doesn't load mootools library using corresponding JHTML::_('...') call. There are two possible solutions:
1. Found and patch that extensions.
2. Force loading of mootools using js/custom_preload.txt file.

What Joomla version do you use?

PS. I've found above issue on Custom Designs page, most likely it is the page with your issue, right?

The main (horizontal) menu uses Mootools; I tried turning off to just CSS menu in the desktop template, but it did no good. Do you have a patch or plugin that you would recommend?

Oh, and I am using Joomla! 1.5.23 Stable.

Create file templates/mobile_elegance/js/custom_preload.txt and add following line:

/media/system/js/mootools-uncompressed.js

Unfortunately that didn't work, the page still won't load. Is there a script that can be added to templates/mobile_elegance/js/custom.js?

Incidentally, the Smart Slider works fine on the desktop template for pc and tablet, it is only the mobile template that is freezing up.

I don't see Smart Slider now on desktop and mobile templates. Do you edit "Custom Designs" page?

I tried to reinstall but still with same result. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Suspecting the problem was a jQuery vs. Mootools conflict, I installed the jQuery Easy plugin. I have been able to get the slideshow to display, but now the jquery Mobile UI styling disappears! This is maddening!!
