When trying to run the install package or the install from tmp dir, the install process starts then pops up an open/save dialog for the index.php. With either open or save the install stops.

Any help with what I can try would be great. Thank you.

Okay, It looks like something installed but it wasn't visible until I logged out and back in. However, I am not able to get things to work properly and it tells me there is an update but I can not update. Also, I never got the install complete message but I have something to work with now. My main concern is with the index.php. I do not feel that it was updated during the install. Is there a way I can check or a way I can find out what should have been added so I can either check or add it in myself?

Thank you

I was able to get some results but only using subdomains.
Please consider this closed unless you can help with the issue of the update. I have the latest version, not sure why it is telling me to update.
Also, this may be by design, but the only way to get to the component is through the control panel, it is not available in the components menu.

I've never meet such a behavior. I'd recommend you to fully uninstall MJ and reinstall it then (and note that recently there was a small fix for 1.0RC2 and new install file is MobileJoomla-1.0RC2.1.tar.gz).
