i have Mobile Joomla working and I am just trying to make one thing more easy for my visitors.

After a visitor using a mobile selects "Standard Version" to see the whole site,
how do I get them back to "Mobile Version"?

I could add a link to 
site.com/?device=xhtml
but it no longer detects the type of phone.
Thoughts?

MJ installs "Select Markup" module in "footer" position to switch back to mobile version. Most likely your desktop template doesn't have "footer" position, so just change it to one existing in the template.
