I just installed MobileJoomla 0.9.8 on my site. There were no error messages during the installation. I have not changed any settings yet. My desktop site still looks the same, but when I click on the "Mobile Version" link that now appears at the bottom of the page, all I get is a screen which looks formatted for a mobile device, but none of my site's content appears on it. I have obviously missed a step here in the setup or configuration, but I don't know what I do next. What is my next step to get my site's content to appear on the mobile-formatted page? Don't worry, it's because the site does not have any menus on the home page that it looks a bit empty. The default is just show menus. To fix it go in Joomla! admin to
Components > K Mobile Joomla > Settings > iphone tab and look down left hand side until
Component on home page change this from (no) to (yes)
then save and relook at your iphone site.

Thank you for your fast reply and your help. I did that, and now "Component on home page" is set to (yes), and I noticed that Smartphone, iPhone, WAP and iMode all have it set to (yes) now.

The only difference now is there is a blank white box on the mobile version that wasn't there before. There is still no content from my desktop version on the mobile version. (by the way I am only trying this with Testiphone.com and with my Firefox browser, as I have no actual iphone).

There must be something I have failed to do, because none of my site's content appears on the mobile version.

I'm struggling to reproduce the site on my test site. I can't delete the menus on my site totally. Is the content on the front page an article?
What template are you using for the front page? My menus set the front page to a blog layout, but on the Firework site there is no menu, so I don't know how to reproduce it.

Is there a separate login screen? Is the login screen standard Joomla controlled by mod_login? You can get that to show by copying the login module and placing the copy in the mobile template. Let me know if you want detailed instructions.

The template my site uses is a modified version of rhuk_milkyway, customized by Stephen Brandon, and saved as a new template called "fireworks."

What appears on the front page depends on whether they are logged in or not. If they are not logged in the welcome article that you see appears.

The Log In/Out module is mod_signallogin

I use AEC to authenticate users who try to log in.

When they are logged in, the welcome article disappears, and three search modules appear, and a member links module appears. No articles appear when they are logged in, as the site mainly uses VirtueMart, which is hidden from them until they log in.

I guess it would be enough if I could get the Log in/Out module to appear on the mobile version when they are not logged in, and the search module and VirtueMart to appear when they are logged in.

If you are interested and want to investigate further I can set up a guest account for you on the site so that you can log in and out like a customer would.

When we have sorted out the problem I'll post a short note to let others know in general terms how it was solved.

The site has a customised home page which includes a login area. The requirement for the mobile site was to have just a login area and when a registered user logged in, then some more normal joomla pages which are reached by choosing a product to look at.
The solution was to copy the login module 4 times and set up each for the different kinds of mobile.
Repeat for the search, categories and brand modules, for each type of mobile. Position as appropriate.
