I installed MobileJoomla 0.9.8 and tested it using an iPhone. Everything works as I expected and the pages appear as I would like. However many of my pages contain QuickTime video clips, and these do not appear on the mobile version. I have looked around and tried to find where I can adjust this to make the videos appear, but I cannot find anything and none of the settings seem to address it either.

I use VirtueMart heavily on my site, and the video clips are there and appear on the screen when a user looks up a particular product. On a desktop with a browser such as Safari or Firefox, the QuickTime video appears and starts running automatically, the user does not have to do anything to start it.

On an iPhone, in the Mobile Version, everything appears except the video clip. Instead of the video clip there is a tiny square but you can't click on it, it does nothing.

Still on an iPhone, if you click on "Standard Version" at the bottom of the screen, you get the standard view of my web site, and a clickable button for the video appears. If you click on that, the video plays using the full iPhone screen. So I believe that the Standard version works on the iPhone and sends the video to the iPhone. However the Mobile Version does not. It just shows a tiny blue square where the video should be. (The result is the same if I use Testiphone.com and the user agent switcher in Firefox to simulate an iPhone.) I can't just use the Standard Version for iPhones, because the text is way too small to read. The Mobile Version looks fine as far as the text and pictures. The only problem with it is the video clip does not appear.

The fact that the video does play on the iPhone in the Standard Version does indicate to me that Joomla and VirtueMart are sending the QuickTime video correctly, and the iPhone is receiving it correctly, so those are not the problem It appears that the Mobile Version is not sending the video. Can anyone point me to where I might fix this problem?

Mobile Joomla 0.9.8
Joomla 1.5.8
VirtueMart 1.1.2
AllVideos Reloaded
The site is fireworkscatalog.com

Thank you for any help.

Try to set "Remove unsupported tags: No" in MJ settings (iPhone tab).

Great, this worked for me as well, for inserting and embedding video code from YouTube, etc., especially with Android phones, I couldn't get embedded videos to play on the Android or iPhone interfaces, and the settings just needed some adjustment, thanks for the solution above!

It works for me for iPhone but not for Android
What encoding should I use to be available for both devices?
Except for the video issue it's a great component! Congrats!

Yup...I'm trying flash video through AllVideos on an Android Tablet and not seeing anything either.

When I put "no" to remove unsupported tags there's a little icon that shows something is supposed to be there.
When I put "yes" to remove unsupported tags there is nothing but a big blank area on the screen.

Did anyone ever find a fix for this?

I wonder if it has anything to do with the version flash on your phone. Not long ago I learned I can no longer play some videos from facebook on my Mac because my version of flash is obsolete. (And I can't upgrade flash unless I upgrade the operating system now.)
