I have Godaddy Hosting, and attempting to install Mobile Joomla 0.9.8. When I install on the Godaddy installed Joomla site, I get a warning after install "Cannot download TeraWurfl database. TeraWURFL will be disabled".

PHP version is 5.2.5 and MySQL is 5.0.91

I tried the install on a LocalHost (Wampserver Joomla Install) and have no issues. I tried using AkeebaBackup to backup my localhost install, and then restoring to the Godaddy hosted site. That then provides an error upon site launch of "Error: Table 'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.jos_TeraWurflCache' doesn't exist".

Of course, if I disable the TeraWurfl plugin, then my problem is resolved, but then unable to use mobile views except for iPhone.

What am I missing here? Is this a problem that exists with Godaddy hosting? Is it a result of the PHP.ini file not being accessible? Is there any workaround here?

Strangely I followed some other posts, piecing together, and was able to resolve on my own.

I took the SQL file from the MJ archive (unzipping the Mobile-Joomla-0.9.8.zip file that you use to install Mobile Joomla), and in the extracted files located in /plugins/terawurfl/tera_dumpl.sql, and replaced all '#__' with 'jos_' using UltraEdit (sql file editor).

I then went into my Godaddy mypHpadmin, and imported the updated sql file.

I then had to go into my Joomla administration, and then in the plugins, make sure the Mobile TeraWURFL plugin was enabled, AND i had to change the plugin parameters to force to use mysql4-compatible version to 'Yes (mysql4).

So far this has completely resolved my issues, and took a while to put all this info together.

I think your support responses were leading people in this area, but the technical level of the verbiage and communication was just too far over peoples heads. Luckily I have the technical experience to understand much of it, but for the simple user, it could be very confusing, or not descriptive enough.

Hopefully my steps will help other Godaddy hosted Joomla users. Thanks!

If it works on your local computer it is a Godaddy issue, right?

I can put a warning to installation instructions for people to avoid Godaddy + Mobilejoomla! combo and advise experienced users to go "no warranty, special instructions" route.

How does this sound like?

Btw does Godaddy run Mysql 5 or 4?

I don't know that it should be avoided for Godaddy users but should be a noted possible compatibilty issue and "best effort" support. IPhone does work even if wurlf doesn't.

Godaddy mySQL is version 5.x.

My steps may be an offered solution for now. I'd be happy to be tester for any updates you guys may make to possibly resolve.

Did you try the method described in FAQ ("Error downloading www.mobilejoomla.com/tera_dump_095.sql")?

dryabov: Your solution worked for me. Just upload the sql file to the root directory "as is" and reinstall mobilejoomla.

dryabov: This solution also worked perfectly for me as well. I used 7-zip (a freeware program) to extract tera_dump.sql from tera_dump.sql.bz2. I then uploaded tera_dump.sql to the root of my site using the GoDaddy FileManager. I then uninstalled Mobile Joomla and installed it again with no issues.

Hello, I'm a godaddy user and had a question about the myphpadmin import step. Where exactly do you import and place this sql file? Do you just import over the entire database, and it finds it's own place? I'm just afraid of it replacing my whole database and wanted to be sure of the little details before importing.

And does your plugin parameter of mysql4 work for databases of mysql 5.0+ versions?
