I have recently started working on Joomla. With the help of tutorials, I have managed to create sample sites and mobilized the sites using Mobile Joomla,

i have tested mobile site using iPhone simulator and it worked perfectly - as explained by some of the experts on this forum. I am keen to test my site on Blackberry and Android for sake of completeness of assignment. Please guide me on which simulators to use for testing site on Blackberry and Android.

I use the following services/soft to test sites (in the case of no real device around):
1. blaze.io/mobile to test look on iPhone (seems it's the only free service that gives you image from real device).
2. Android-x64 in VirtualBox to test site on Androids (in addition to blaze.io image).
3. Opera Mobile Emulator to test site in Opera Mobile browser (as this browser is still quite popular).
4. For Blackberry you can use official simulators: us.blackberry.com/developers/resources/simulators.jsp

Thank for suggesting mobilephoneemulator.com for iphone, blackberry and android. I am getting error "The requested URL /Joomla_15 was not found on this server."

some details about my application:

I am running the site on my local machine. The URL that I use for accessing the site is localhost/Joomla_15. With this URL, I can see site properly getting rendered on iphonetester.com simulator. However, the same site is not accessible on mobilephoneemulator.com.

I am using proxy server to access internet and in the settings I have ensured that localhost is bypassed while accessing localhost/Joomla_15.

Have you come across similar issues?

The short and correct answer is that I am not the right person to answer this for you. I have not experienced the issue you describe because I am not using my machine to host the site, it's a live site. I understand that the issue doesn't arise with iphone tester with your example nor with mine, it displays equally as well.

I can only surmise that the settings on mobilephoneemulator.com have in some way rejected the proxy server. I have seen similar things occur using a wamp server.

Here is an update. I touch based with mobile phone emulator.com's team and got to know that www.mobilephoneemulator.com site is useful for testing internet facing websites only. However I must acknowledge that it is one of the useful website / emulators for testing mobile applications. One can test application for iphone, blackberry, android, and other mobile phones using single emulator.
