I need to display my site as it appears on a desktop for Android tablet, and only load a separate template when viewed on an Android phone. This works perfectly for iPad/iPhone where I can turn iPad support on or off.
Is there a way of doing this with the pda template?

I too would love to be able to have the Android tablet load the full template vs. the mobile template.

On our Website www.mewigo.de/ MobileJoomla is installed. We search for a solution/change, that a standard browser ot an android tablet (in this case: Asus EeePad Transformer) just show the desktop-version of our site and not (like it is at the moment) the pda/xhtml Mobile Version. the attached screenshot shows the tablet-view from the "asus eeepad transformer".

If anybody has a solution for it, it would be great.

I don't have an android phone but Nokia smart phone using Opera Mobile browser. There is everything ok.

But I made some testing with my Mobile Joomla site and noticed that 3rd module position below component must be mj_all_footer. If using something else, the selection between Mobile and Standard Version don't work.

Is Template Preview OK? Perhaps I have missed you question totally but these are some thought that came in my mind.

Tablets shall show the desktop version on tablets by default. Will fix this with the next release

Overwriting previous versions might work, but please be careful and take backups
