OK, then unpack and upload theme manually. Unpacked files should be stored in templates/mobile_elegance/themes/[themename]/ directory:

[themename].css
[themename].min.css
images/ (there are 5 images in this directory)

What jQueryMobile version was set in ThemeRoller? Elegance 1.3 uses jQueryMobile 1.3.2.
And check that there is no styles in template's css/custom.css that can override themes' styles in such a way.

It's default layout of "Select markup" module. You can edit markup files in templates/mobile_elegance/html/mod_mj_markupchooser/ directory to get design you like to have.
